Considerations When Taking Sleeping Pills
Kirkland Sleep Aid is an antihistamine drug, used as a sleep aid. It is only recommended for mild to moderate cases of insomnia. If you are persistently unable to sleep for periods of weeks or more, consult your doctor as your lack of sleep may be an indication of other medical conditions.
Only take Kirkland Sleep Aid when you are going to bed. They will make you drowsy, so no driving, no operating machinery, heavy or otherwise. Take just one tablet 30 minutes before bed time, and at no other time.
Sleep Aid will also make sure you stay asleep – that’s a good thing – but remember to give yourself enough sleep time (a good eight hours), after consuming a tablet. If you’re planning a short nap of just a few hours, you’ll still feel drowsy when you wake. Kirkland Sleep Aid is meant for a full night’s sleep, nit just a quick nap.
Never exceed the stated dose. One tablet, 30 minutes before you go to bed, is quite enough to help the average adult gently drift off to sleep.
If you suffer from any other medical conditions, or are already taking any medications, always consult your doctor before taking Kirkland Sleep Aid, or any other ‘over-the-counter’ drugs.
Specifically, if you suffer from breathing problems, such as asthma, emphysema or chronic bronchitis, speak to your doctor before taking Sleep Aid.
Absolutely do not give these pills to children. They are suitable only for adults. Keep the tablets in their original bottles/boxes/tubs and keep them safely out of reach. In case of overdose, get medical help right away.
When taking Sleep Aid – or any other sleeping tablet – do not drink alcohol.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, see your doctor before use.
